Apprentice EHS Consultant Positions

We are currently recruiting recent graduates of accredited brick and mortar Bachelor and Graduate degree occupational health and safety or environmental programs to join our consulting team for full time salaried positions!

The ideal candidate has earned a minimum 3.0 GPA and is interested in learning all aspects of environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance in General Industry & Construction, and strongly believes in our company purpose, which is helping small companies protect their employees, local community, the environment and businesses from harm through the implementation of strong EHS compliance programs.

Our apprentice consultants benefit from our highly structured training program which includes extensive exposure to all aspects of OSHA, EPA and TCEQ regulatory compliance as they apply to manufacturing, industrial and construction industries, with the goal of transitioning to a Staff EHS Consulting role within 6-9 months.

  • Our occupational health and safety training program includes the following areas:
    • Written program, procedure & policy development
    • How to conduct audits & inspections to identify and correct health and safety hazards
    • How to create Lockout/Tagout procedures, Hazard Assessments, etc.
    • Employee training development and delivery

Staff Consultant Qualification & Experience Requirements:

We are currently seeking experienced and qualified individuals who understand OSHA rules, regulations and standards as they apply to general industry and construction activities, and are able to apply this knowledge for the benefit of our clients. Ideally, the individual possesses some level of environmental & hazardous materials compliance experience as it relates to hazardous waste management/RCRA, Storm Water, Air Permit & reporting. DOT compliance experience would also be beneficial. 

Staff Level EHS Consultant Positions in Austin, TX

Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of EHS compliance experience in Construction and/or General Industry and especially manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of EHS training experience
  • Industrial Hygiene experience preferred
  • Extensive understanding of OSHA 1926, 1910 and 1904 standards and ability to apply that knowledge for our client’s benefit
  • Preferred, but not required: Environmental & hazardous materials compliance including RCRA-Hazardous Waste Management, Storm Water, Air Permitting & Authorizations, Tier II, SPCC, TRI.
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel and Access
  • Professional appearance and attitude with demonstrated “educational approach” to EHS compliance
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written

Project Work Includes:

  • Conduct project, site and operational EHS compliance and due diligence audits
  • Develop EHS compliance programs per customer operations & requirements

Manager of EHS Consulting Services

Job Brief:

Berg Compliance Solutions, LLC is a small EHS consulting business located in Austin, Texas.  We specialize in helping small businesses manage EHS compliance.  The company is a spinoff of Berg Environmental Services, Inc. which is a hazardous waste management business founded in 2003.

Over the past 6 years, we’ve established our brand identity, proven our business model and are now poised to scale by attacking new markets and verticals throughout Texas and the country.  As part of our future growth plans, we are seeking a very experienced and qualified leader to fill the role of Director of Operations & Principal EHS Consultant.

This leadership position will include a combination of service delivery, management & profitability responsibilities, and success will require STRONG ENTREPRENEURIAL aptitude & skill.

In addition to leadership and management experience, the Principal EHS Consulting role requires extensive knowledge and application of OSHA health and safety standards as they apply to general industry and construction sectors. The candidate must also possess strong environmental regulatory compliance experience, especially hazardous waste management/RCRA, Storm Water & Discharge, Air Emissions and Hazardous materials reporting as they apply to manufacturing.  DOT compliance experience would also be beneficial.

The role also requires extensive professional development and mentorship experience and aptitude to facilitate our recent college graduate apprentice program.
