The head of EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), Scott Pruitt, has tapped TCEQ staff member Michael Honeycutt Ph D to run EPA’s Science Advisory Board.
Mr. Honeycutt currently leads TCEQ’s Toxicology Division and has held the position since 2003. In this position, Honeycutt has reviewed and advised on the health effects of air permitting, air quality, as well as hazardous waste management facilities. He’s also advised on air and water quality, as well as drinking water and soil contamination.
Mr. Honeycutt is also an adjunct professor at Texas A&M in College Station.
Given Mr. Honeycutt’s experience and qualifications, it will be interesting to see how he fits with the Trump administrations’ environmental regulation roll-back agenda.
