Waste Classification & Approvals

As a value added service to our customers, Berg Environmental Services, Inc. assists our clients in characterization, classification, and approval of all waste streams at no additional charge.

It is extremely important to work closely with our clients and involve them throughout the entire classification and final approvals process. Our clients will always know how and why their wastes are characterized the way they are, and will always make the final determination as to where and how their wastes are ultimately disposed of.

Waste Characterization

We will assist our client generators in classifcation and characterization of their wastes Per EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) 40 CFR Parts 260-261-262-263 & 264 and DOT (Department of Transportation) 49 CFR Parts 171-172 & 173. Per these rules regulations, final determination is always approved by the generator, however we will offer our knowledge and experience in guiding our clients through this process for each specific waste stream.

Waste Approvals-Profiling

Depending upon final characterization of specific client wastes, we will offer appropriate and cost effective disposal treatment options. Once a final treatment method is approved by our client, we assist them in obtaining final disposal approval from the appropriate TSDF facility via our profiling process.
